Mohamed Faiz N — Founder, Levels N Curves Creative Studios
Where It Started
I’ve been drawn to design for as long as I can remember — sketching as a kid, filling notebooks with drawings long before I knew it could be more than a hobby. At 18, I got my first PC, and that’s when things changed. Alongside playing MMORPGs (a fairly standard teenage hobby), I became just as absorbed in Photoshop and Illustrator — teaching myself, experimenting, editing photos for myself and for friends, just because I enjoyed it.
Turning a Hobby Into a Craft
That hobby became a direction. I completed a B.Sc. in Visual Communication and a diploma in Creative Design and Animation, both in Chennai, graduating as a topper in both. For me, this wasn’t just academic achievement; it was confirmation that the thing I’d been doing for fun could become real, skilled work.
After college, I worked at Amazon and later SportsInsight Ltd. — roles that gave me a front-row view of how creative work fits into a larger business. I learned how brands think, how decisions get made, and what separates good design from design that actually delivers results for a business.

The Studio Begins
In June 2012, I started Levels N Curves Creative Studios. We focused on what I knew and loved — branding, logo design, brochures, stationery — helping businesses build visual identities that stood out. Every project was an opportunity to apply everything I’d taught myself since I was 18, now with the discipline of working for real clients with real goals.
As the studio grew, so did client expectations. More and more, businesses that came to us for branding also wanted websites — a natural extension of the visual identity we’d already built for them. So we expanded, bringing on web developers and adding web design and development to our services.
A New Brand for a New Need
Eventually, a different kind of client started reaching out — businesses with web application and mobile app projects, looking for a technology partner, not just a creative one. And here’s what we noticed: Levels N Curves, with its strong creative, design-studio identity, wasn’t the brand that made these clients feel confident handing us a technology project.
So in September 2016, we created Aximz Technologies — a brand built specifically for technology and growth-focused work, with a more corporate, capability-driven identity. It let us serve two very different audiences, each with the brand language that resonated with them, without compromising either.
Moments That Shaped Me
2014 — Working with Amazon, one of the proudest moments early on was when our team got the opportunity to work on image processing for Amazon’s Chennai operations. I remember the level of precision and consistency they expected — it was a completely different standard from anything we’d worked on before, and it pushed me to build processes and quality checks that we still use today. It taught me that “good enough” and “Amazon-good” were two very different things.
2015 — Learning From Ask Sunday Working with Ask Sunday, one of the world’s leading virtual assistant companies, gave me a front-row seat into how US businesses operated — their pace, their expectations, their way of communicating. It was my first real exposure to working closely with an international team, and it shaped how I think about client communication to this day.
2016 — The Myntra Project Getting to work on something connected to Myntra was a moment I genuinely remember being excited about — it was one of the first times I felt like the work we were doing in Chennai was touching something at a national scale. It gave me a lot of confidence in what our team was capable of.
2018 — Bag House America Working with Bag House America was different from anything we’d done before — a US-based manufacturing business, completely outside the design and tech bubble I was used to. It taught me how to understand an industry I knew nothing about, ask the right questions, and translate that into work that actually made sense for their business.
2019 — Expedition Voyages This project stuck with me because it combined two things I love — travel and storytelling. Helping Expedition Voyages bring their experiences online felt less like client work and more like building something I’d genuinely want to use myself.
What These Years Taught Me
Looking back, each of these projects added something to how I work — precision from Amazon, communication from Ask Sunday, confidence from Myntra, adaptability from Bag House America, and a reminder of why I love this work, from Expedition Voyages. None of it happened because we had it all figured out. It happened because we said yes, figured it out as we went, and tried to do right by the people who trusted us.
That’s still how I approach every new project today.
Levels N Curves Today
Levels N Curves Creative Studios remains the creative heart of what we do — the studio where brand identities, visual design, and storytelling come to life. While Aximz Technologies has grown to become our larger, technology-focused brand, Levels N Curves continues as the foundation on which it all started, and the place where creative-first projects still live.
What Hasn’t Changed
From sketching as a kid to running two brands today, one thing has stayed the same: curiosity. Every new skill — design software, web development, running a business — started the same way, with not knowing how to do it, and learning anyway. That’s still how we approach every project that comes through Levels N Curves.
Two brands, one story — and it all started with a kid who liked to draw.
